Sydney, Australia — Leading e-solutions provider SAP Australia today announced its commitment to support Here for Life, an organisation focused on education, awareness and research aimed at the prevention of youth suicide.
Australia has one of the highest youth suicide rates in the world, and SAP shares Here For Life’s vision to prevent and reduce this tragic problem by empowering and supporting Australian youth by providing resources, education and school-based life skills.
“I’m impressed with the innovative programs being implemented by Here for Life. I’m confident that SAP’s partnership with them will provide the opportunity for creative collaboration among our employees and the Here for Life team,” said Chris Bennett, Managing Director & CEO of SAP Australia & New Zealand.
“This is one way for us to make a difference in the lives of Australian youth. Our children are too precious. We should equip them with life skills that will help them weather the difficult periods in their lives,” Bennett said.
Through its charity sponsorship program SAP will support Here for Life with monetary contributions, volunteering and staff involvement in the agency’s programs.
“We are pleased and honoured that SAP has chosen to partner with us. I appreciate the vision of SAP’s management team to make a difference in the lives of Australia’s youth,” said Andrew Kay, founder of Here for Life.
Here for Life promotes various positive programs including “Life’s a Ball,” the Yellow Ribbon Programme, Youth Week Victoria and Community Education and Support.
