New CFO for Australia and New Zealand

New leadership positions SAP for further growth

Sydney, AustraliaSAP has announced the appointment of Tim Ebbeck to the role of Chief Financial Officer, SAP Australia and New Zealand. Most recently, Mr Ebbeck held the position of CFO of Asia Pacific for the TMP Worldwide Group. He has also previously held positions with Compaq, initially as CFO for South Pacific, and later as an Investment Director within the Compaq Venture Capital fund. Mr Ebbeck will report directly to Geraldine McBride, chief executive officer, SAP ANZ.

Based in Sydney, Mr Ebbeck brings to the position of CFO more than 20 years of experience in the IT sector and considerable knowledge of the local market.

His predecessor, David Barnes, has been promoted to the CFO role in SAP United Kingdom. Through our Talent Management Program it is our intention to continue to deliver strong growth and financial performance in the ANZ market,” said Geraldine McBride, chief executive officer and managing director, SAP ANZ.

“The combination of Tim’s understanding of the local business environment, as well as his strong strategic, commercial, and operational background, provides SAP with a focused, operational CFO with a creative perspective on change-management and customer centricity.”
“I am confident that Tim will immediately make a strong contribution to SAP’s continued leadership position as the number one software provider in ANZ,” she added.

Mr Ebbeck’s appointment follows the departure of David Barnes who has been promoted to the role of CFO for SAP United Kingdom. In this role, David has responsibility for UK, Ireland and Africa.
