Sydney, Australia — SAP Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) has announced five new appointments including David Bickerstaff as Account Executive – Insurance Industry, Frank Godeby as Director Business Development & Field Services – Public Sector, Hugh Cameron as Southern Region Alliances Manager, John Smith – Northern Region Alliances Manager and John Goldrick as CRM Business Development Manager, ANZ.
“These appointments are further testimony of our intention to deliver even stronger growth and financial performance,” said Geraldine McBride, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, SAP ANZ. “They clearly demonstrate that growing CRM market share remains a key focus for SAP as does driving growth in the Financial Services and Public Sectors. Appointing two new Alliances Managers is critical to enhancing our strong relationships with partners and to continue to build an organisation centred around our customers’ needs.”
David Bickerstaff has taken on a newly created role which reflects the commitment of SAP to the financial services industry in Australia. Based in Sydney, Bickerstaff will be responsible for managing and developing opportunities in the financial services industry. Prior to joining SAP, Bickerstaff spent seven years with PeopleSoft, in a number of roles including, Queensland State Manager, Director of eBusiness and Supply Chain Solutions for ANZ and Executive Account Manager of Financial Services Sector in the Northern Region. Bickerstaff was also Sales Manager of Prometheus and Director of Software Consultancy, based in Queensland.
Frank Godeby will be based in Brisbane and brings to the position more than 14 years of public sector and IT experience, 10 of which have been with SAP. He will be responsible for developing new opportunities within the public sector.
John Goldrick has been appointed to grow SAP’s local CRM market share. Goldrick has almost 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, of which eight years has been spent in CRM solutions and implementations. Goldrick joins SAP from Sybase where for the past year he was Business Solutions Manager. Goldrick has great experience across the financial services industry, telco/utilities and government sectors in both account management and CRM business consulting.
John Smith will join SAP ANZ in November from Vignette, previously Tower Technology. At Tower/Vignette, Smith was Head of Alliances Asia-Pacific having originally started with Tower in the UK in 1996. Smith has a very strong background in alliance and account management having been in the industry for almost 20 years.
Hugh Cameron will be responsible for the growth and development of new and existing opportunities in Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria, and he will be based in SAP’s Melbourne office. Cameron has more than 20 years’ experience in the IT industry, primarily in the application of IT to business. Most recently, Cameron was National Alliances Manager for BMC Software. Previously he established the regional subsidiary representing US based Elixir Technologies Corporation in the late 1990s.
