Partners, Customers and SAP Unite to Co-Innovate For the Public Sector and Consumer Products, High-Tech and Retail Industries
SAP announced the formation for four new “industry value networks” IVNs serving the consumer products, retail and technology industries and the public sector. RuleBurst—an Australian-owned—has joined the public sector IVN to develop a composite application that helps public sector customers automate rules processing to manage complex business rules and regulations. SAP announced general availability of the business intelligence (BI) accelerator, proven to increase the speed of analysing critical business information up to 200-times faster than alternative tools. SAP and Intel collaborated to co-develop the BI accelerator, an innovative analytical engine within SAP NetWeaver® Business Intelligence that crunches through terabytes of data in seconds. SAP to Expand Sourcing Offering with Acquisition of Frictionless Commerce
Through the addition of Frictionless Commerce, SAP will be able to help customers act quickly and save strategically while also providing a seamless and easy migration to the proven and robust mySAP™ SRM. Frictionless Commerce’s On-Demand edition offers e-Sourcing capabilities available through a Web browser. Within days, organizations can run sourcing events and begin managing suppliers. SAP Unveils SAP CRM 2006s and Road Map to CRM Hybrid Model by 2007
While announcing its road map to migrate its entire CRM offering to its previously-announced hybrid model by 2007, SAP also unveiled SAP CRM 2006s, the industry’s first hybrid on-demand/on-premise CRM suite, which offers new industry-specific capabilities, full Web service-enabling and an easy-to-use interface that is shared across on-demand and on-premise deployment options.
