SAP COO ANZ promoted to SVP & CCO APJ
Sydney, Australia — SAP has today announced the appointment of Tim Ebbeck to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer for SAP Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
The appointment represents a promotion for Mr. Ebbeck, who will be responsible for strategy execution across SAP APJ and will report to Geraldine McBride, President and CEO, SAP APJ.
Mr. Ebbeck’s role will encompass strategy execution for the region in support of SAP’s 2010 objectives. He will establish and lead a strategic business development team with a focus on creating new revenue streams for SAP in APJ, and establish and lead a commercial deal crafting team which will drive revenue targets for SAP in APJ.
“My charter in this new role is to drive the execution of SAP’s 2010 Gameplan, develop new revenue opportunities, and significantly improve the quality and quantity of the deals we complete in the region,” said Mr. Ebbeck.
Tim joined SAP as Chief Financial Officer, SAP Australia and New Zealand in March 2003 and more recently was Chief Operating Officer in ANZ. Prior to SAP, Tim held the position of CFO of Asia Pacific for the TMP Worldwide Group. He has also previously held positions with Compaq, initially as CFO for South Pacific, and later as an investment director within the Compaq Venture Capital Fund.
Mr Ebbeck has more than 20 years of experience in the IT sector and is actively involved in all aspects of the SAP business.
