SAP certification to reflect industry experience
Sydney, Australia — SAP Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) today announced the launch of a new multi-tiered certification scheme for SAP consultants. The program is designed to more accurately validate professional experience, technical proficiency and the degree to which an individual’s SAP skills and knowledge are current with the latest versions of the software.
Consultants that have completed the latest SAP Education courses and achieved certification via examination will receive one of three accreditations depending on their professional experience.
“We have developed this multi-tiered certification program in consultation with the SAP business community,” said Angie Vaux, business unit manager, SAP Education ANZ. “The program provides a framework for our customers and partners to assess and verify their consultant’s expertise and ensure that they have the skills required to implement and operate SAP solutions. The program benefits consultants by helping them market their professional skills and experience more effectively.”
The scheme applies to the full range of SAP certifications. The system is designed to help consultants differentiate themselves in the highly competitive market for SAP skills.
Associate level certification
Consultants at this level have a fundamental knowledge of SAP and a broad proficiency in the software. Professionals with one to three years industry experience.
Professional level certification
Individuals with proven project experience and industry knowledge gained during three to seven years professional experience as an SAP consultant and team leader. Proven business process knowledge and a detailed understanding of SAP solutions.
Master level certification
Consultants that can demonstrate expertise regarding specific aspects of SAP software functionality and technology, as well as the ability to drive innovation to meet an organisation’s technical and business requirements. Consultants with more than seven years experience.
