SAP strengthens senior team with experienced new appointment

Auckland, New ZealandSAP New Zealand today announced the appointment of Stephen Stanley as Sector Manager, responsible for customers in local government, education and health. In this role he is charged with growing SAP’s business in these sectors, reporting directly to Sales Director Richard Syers.

Prior to joining SAP, Stephen spent 11 years with Microsoft in a variety of roles, most recently in New Zealand as the Head of the Communications Sector business. He also spent five years as UK Consulting Practice Manager, heading up a 30-strong team, and two years in Singapore in a senior role with the APAC regional team.

Ian Black, Managing Director for SAP New Zealand, says Stanley will bring experience in exceeding clients’ expectations in complex and challenging business areas.

SAP has a solid track record in local government, education and health. 2007 was a particularly strong year for SAP New Zealand, during which time it added 30 new names, significantly expanded its partner ecosystem and expanded its reach into major public sector accounts.

Stephen’s academic qualifications include a BSc (Hons) in Engineering and a Masters Degree in applying Artificial Intelligence to the Computer-Aided Design process. Stephen is a Chartered Engineer.
