SAP Reveals Solutions and Strategies to DriveCustomer Business Growth at SAP® World Tour 2010 in Australia

Australia event showcases how Australian businesses can be empowered for profitable business growth

SYDNEY, AustraliaSAP customers, partners and representatives are coming together today at the SAP® APJ World Tour 2010 in Sydney and on Thursday in Melbourne, to hear how business software applications from SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) help businesses run better.

The SAP World Tour takes place in more than 80 cities in over 50 countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America. In Asia Pacific Japan, the World Tour will cover 23 markets across the region, starting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on July 8 and finishing in Shenzen, China on October 15.

“Australian companies are now focusing on business growth, innovation and speed – today’s technologies allow businesses to connect with suppliers, serve customers and make financial decisions anytime, anywhere and from any device,” said John Goldrick, Director of Industries and Solutions Group at SAP, Australia and New Zealand, “This year the SAP World Tour Sydney features technologies which customers can adopt at their own pace, without disruption, giving them the edge on their competition by enabling their own corporate strategies.”

The event is designed to enable dialogue between influencers, customers and prospects – along with Partners and other members of the SAP ecosystem. Participants will learn how the SAP® solution portfolio can help companies evolve their IT landscapes – giving them a better view on how driving their business forward. This year’s event will focus on the following topics:

  • How customers can lead their industries as Best-Run businesses
  • Extending business software availability – On-premise, On-demand and On-device
  • Ensuring customers adopt innovation at their own pace
  • Facilitating new ways of working at the office through business insight and mobile devices
  • How the industry is being revolutionised with new developments such as in-memory computing and co-innovation with partners

The event features an opening by Ray Kloss, Director of Global Field Marketing, SAP ANZ, followed by a keynote presentation from Ian Black, COO, SAP ANZ, regarding SAP’s Product Strategy. Black will speak about SAP’s strategy of On Premise/ On Demand/ On Device and the continued importance of building innovation and mobility into the business software space. The program will also include a ‘demo jam’ showcasing some of the latest offerings from SAP and how they can be used.
