SAP appoints new Head of Communications for Australia and New Zealand

Wendy Hill takes over from Peter Sertori, who moves into regional Analyst and Influencer role

SYDNEY, AustraliaSAP Australia and New Zealand (SAP ANZ) has today announced the appointment of Wendy Hill as Head of Communications, SAP ANZ. Wendy will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies, both internal and external across the ANZ region.. She will report locally to Tim Ebbeck, Managing Director, SAP ANZ and regionally to Ian Brown, Head of Communications, SAP Asia Pacific Japan, based in Singapore.

Wendy joins SAP ANZ from Verizon Business, where she was Asia Pacific Marketing Communications Manager. She has nearly 20 years experience in the IT industry, beginning her career at NCR in 1992. In 1996, she established a boutique PR agency, Bird & Hill Public Relations with partner Jeff Bird, which specialised in enterprise technology and telecommunications. In 2006, Wendy joined former agency client, Cybertrust, a specialist managed security solutions business, with responsibility for analyst relations, media management and internal communications. With the acquisition of Cybertrust by Verizon Business in 2007, Wendy became the Asia Region’s PR/AR manager, before moving into the broader portfolio of marketing communications.

Peter Sertori moves to Asia Region Role
Peter Sertori, the former Director of Communications for SAP ANZ, has been promoted to Director, Business Influencer & Analyst Relations, SAP Asia Pacific Japan. Peter’s new role will involve sourcing and engaging key influencers and thought leaders in the enterprise software market across the Asia Pacific Japan region. Peter will be designing and implementing an influence model to expand SAP’s communities of influence in the region. He will be working with third party experts, industry analysts, customers and partners to strengthen the knowledge base of SAP products and solutions. This will help provide SAP with insight into strategy, roadmaps, market trends as well as customer and partner priorities. Peter will continue to be based in Australia.

Wendy takes over from Peter as of 2nd May 2011 and will continue to be supported by global PR agency, Burson-Marsteller.
