SAP ANZ realigns its sales organisation to address the new market opportunities
SYDNEY, Australia — SAP Australia and New Zealand announced today the appointments of two key solution portfolio sales executives to its leadership team, reshaping its sales management structure. The organisational realignment is aimed at supporting SAP’s innovation strategy by strengthening its focus on five market categories – applications, analytics, database & technology, mobile and cloud computing.
The organisation has aligned into two key areas with the following leaders, each reporting directly to the Office of the CEO:
- Dereck Daymond has been appointed general manager, Database and Technology, SAP ANZ. Following SAP’s acquisition of Sybase, this division combines the database and technology solutions from both companies, including SAP HANA, SAP Sybase ASE, SAP Sybase IQ and SAP NetWeaver. Prior to the acquisition, Daymond was Managing Director, Sybase with responsibility for developing and executing Sybase’s business strategy for Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
- Jeremy Goddard has been appointed general manager, Business Solutions & Cloud, SAP ANZ. This role will cover a number of SAP’s innovation solutions including mobility, business analytics, line-of-business solutions and SAP’s cloud offerings. Previously, Goddard held the role of director for Services, SAP Australia and New Zealand where he was responsible for demand generation activities across the services business in ANZ.
The newly appointed leaders will be responsible for driving revenue, growth and industry transformation with SAP’s innovation and industry solutions, and will be heading national teams of specialised sales executives.
“We’re very pleased to announce these strategic appointments to our executive leadership team,” said Shane Grobler, COO and Acting Managing Director, SAP ANZ. “The success of SAP’s innovation strategy has created wonderful opportunities for our customers and partners, and I am confident that in their new roles, Dereck and Jeremy will continue to build momentum and drive a positive impact on our market share in ANZ”.
