Offers customers a single managed platform for mobile applications

SYDNEYSybase Australia, an SAP company, today announced it has signed a partnership agreement with Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand for enterprise managed mobility solutions. Fujitsu will host mobile solutions powered by industry-leading Sybase® Managed Mobility technologies and offer them on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) and platform-as-a-service (PaaS) basis to customers in the Australian and New Zealand marketplace.

Sybase Managed Mobility enables enterprises to integrate mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets with existing SAP® applications as a service, providing speed-to-value with minimal setup time and no infrastructure requirements. Fujitsu Managed Mobility will enable productivity apps from SAP–available on the Apple App store and the Android marketplace–to integrate with SAP Business Suite software. “Enterprises will be able to consolidate their mobile assets, implement a mobile security policy, deploy all mobile applications and control costs without complexity,” said Les Davey, group executive director, Business and Application Services, Fujitsu. “With our significant investment in cloud technologies, we can provide customers with a single platform to manage their mobile applications securely with a highly scalable, cost-effective solution that also offers protection from technology obsolescence.”
