SAP today announced the appointment of Colin Brookes as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for SAP Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). As COO, Brookes is responsible for leading SAP ANZ’s sales-support infrastructure and the operationalisation of its strategy, enabling SAP to deliver on its role; the innovation partner, helping its customers digitise and grow.
Brookes brings to the role over 20 years of executive experience in the IT sector. He joins from SAP United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI), where he served as COO for two years. Here he drove sales and operational excellence, enabling SAP UKI to deliver maximum value to its customers.
Prior to that role, Brookes held executive leadership roles across the globe – including at Software AG Australia and New Zealand, FormScape Software, Knowledge Support Systems and CA Technologies.
“The success of our customers, partners and people is at the core of the SAP business,” said Stephen Moore, President and Managing Director, SAP ANZ. “As we continue to help our customers digitise and grow in Australia and New Zealand, Colin brings invaluable experience to the COO role. We look forward to the outstanding achievements he and his team will deliver.”
“I see many similarities in Australia and New Zealand to the UK and Ireland – a market on a new digital path, underpinned by a transformation to the cloud,” Brookes said. “In a now often cloud-first if not cloud-only world, I look forward to leading a team that enables our customers to succeed in their digital innovation journeys.”
With his appointment, Brookes joins the SAP ANZ Senior Executive Team.
