SYDNEY, Australia — SAP SE today announced the appointment of Damien Bueno as President and Managing Director for SAP Australia and New Zealand (ANZ). The announcement comes as Colin Brookes steps down as President and Managing Director for SAP ANZ to pursue another opportunity with SAP globally.

Bueno joined SAP in 2007 and has worked with some of Australia and New Zealand’s largest organisations, across multiple industries, driving strategic and meaningful outcomes at SAP and in regional leadership roles prior. Most recently as Vice President for Strategic Industries and Markets, SAP ANZ, where he pioneered a co-investment model with the Australian Government, to better support it with its digital engagement with citizens.

Scott Russell, President, SAP Asia Pacific Japan said, “Australia and New Zealand is a key market unit for the APJ region, having become a $1 billion business and delivering 22 per cent year over year cloud business growth. As an experienced member of the ANZ Senior Executive Team, Damien Bueno is a proven leader who embodies what it means to be customer-centric and employee-focused. I look forward to Damien supporting our customers’ future successes, as our ANZ business enters its next phase of growth.

“Under Colin Brooke’s leadership, first as Chief Operating Officer and then as President and Managing Director, SAP ANZ delivered a relentless industry focus across its entire business with a shift to an industry-led Go To Market strategy. We thank Colin for his contributions to the ANZ business,” added Russell.

Damien Bueno said, “Our customers are asking more and more of us each day, as they deal with the opportunities and disruptions that their respective industries throw at them.
