SAP Recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality

SAP Australia is proud to be recognised as an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality through the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA), and I’m equally proud to be working with WGEA as a Pay Equity Ambassador. The Employer of Choice citation reinforces the emphasis we place on gender equality. It’s not a tagline, it’s a conscious effort where we hold ourselves accountable.

To ensure SAP’s employees are recognised fairly for their contributions, we mandate a rigorous programme of work including: fair and open recruitment practices; ensuring starting salaries for women and men are on par for similar roles and skill sets; annual pay equity review processes; increased awareness of workplace flexibility; and ensuring time out of the workplace for caring responsibilities does not impact career progression through targeted programmes like Back to Work.

Recognising all employees fairly for their contributions is not just the right thing to do – these are the boundary conditions for participation. The citation reinforces this effort is genuine and wholehearted. And I look forward to other leaders joining me in signing WGEA’s Pay Equity Pledge to further drive pay equity in Australia.
