During the Federal election campaign the ALP made clear the importance of the digital economy to underpin Australia’s future success and productivity.
When looking at levers that can be activated to help accelerate digitisation across the economy, SAP recommends e-invoicing as a tool to not only support faster payments to small businesses, but also to act as a digital nudge to support small business further digitise their businesses.
The question remains how this can be best rolled out across the Australian economy. It is our view that this is best delivered via both a mandate and governmental support.
