SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA Continues to Show Rapid Customer Adoption
WALLDORF, Germany — SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it has crossed the 1,000-customer mark for SAP® Business Suite powered by SAP HANA® since its launch in January 2013. SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA has already become one of the fastest-growing software applications in SAP’s history. The software helps companies across all industries drive their entire enterprise in real time so they can simulate, plan, execute, analyze and predict almost instantly along business-critical end-to-end processes.
“Reaching the 1,000 SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA customer milestone so quickly is evidence that SAP’s emphasis on business value is being accepted,” said Bob Parker, group vice president, IDC. “Those companies that were worried about being too early should be assured and start to plan their own implementation or risk finding themselves in a long queue.”
SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA is the business innovation foundation to help companies drive their rapid transformation toward the real-time enterprise. Those organizations lead in their industries by redefining business processes and implementing innovative business models not previously possible.
Driving New Business and IT Value
Bangkok Airways, Thailand’s privately-owned regional airline, has implemented SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA to streamline operations, facilitate innovation and run its business in real-time.
“With SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA, our team will gain access to real-time analysis on the performance of the business,” said Puttipong Prasartthong-Osoth, president, Bangkok Airways. “It’s faster and more accurate than our previous approach, and it will help us make better decisions quickly, strengthen our service offerings and maintain customer loyalty in the highly competitive aviation industry. But the true impact goes beyond this. The velocity of computing on SAP HANA makes it an ideal platform for our future applications, and we expect the business value derived from this speed to transform our business.”
SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA is offered with a full choice of deployment options, on premise and cloud, including newly released cloud subscription pricing models for quicker time-to-value.
“We were looking for a state-of-the-art ERP solution that could get us up and running very fast with no up-front investment and would enable us to grow at our own pace,” said Martin Haas, managing director, Schaidt Innovations GmbH & Co KG. “We achieved this through the unique combination of SAP ERP powered by SAP HANA deployed using an SAP Rapid Deployment solution in a fully managed cloud environment with SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud.”
To leverage the most modern design principles, SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA customers also have the option to deploy the SAP® Fiori® user experience for instant insight and action across all devices.
“Exceeding 1,000-customers validates this incredible innovation. SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA has become the new normal for our customers and ecosystem,” said Robert Enslin, member of the Executive Board of SAP and president, Global Customer Operations. “By unifying transactions and analytics into our in-memory platform SAP HANA, we fulfill our promise to SAP Business Suite customers to move from batch to real time. This completely reinvents the user experience and helps greatly simplify their IT landscape”
SAP partners, which currently manage more than 60 percent of all SAP Business Suite powered by SAP HANA projects, continue to play a major role in helping customers plan, run and optimize implementation projects for delivering higher business value and lower IT cost.
