SAP Canada has been selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Young People for the third consecutive year in the 2017 edition of Mediacorp’s Canadian business survey.
A competition that determines which Canadian employers offer the best workplaces for young people, Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Young People reviews benefits such as tuition assistance, the availability of co-op or work-study programs, and mentorship and training programs. It also takes into account benefits such as bonuses paid when employees complete certain courses or professional designations, as well as career management programs that help young people progress faster.
These are some of the reasons given for SAP Canada’s inclusion in the 2017 edition of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Young People:
- In partnership with BCIT’s Business Information Technology Management Program, SAP Canada offers students the opportunity to work for a 10-week period on study processes and best practices in the company’s product support department.
- SAP Canada offers high potential employees opportunities to participate in the Social Sabbatical program, a unique, short-term assignment that provides employees with an opportunity to work within an international team of employees to solve business challenges for entrepreneurs/SME sector organizations in emerging markets.
Agi Garaba, Head of HR, SAP Canada, said: “In 2017, technology companies have a bigger incentive than ever to attract and retain young talent because they are taking the reins in creating our digital future. 75% of employees hired by SAP Canada in 2016 were ‘millennials’. This is causing a dramatic shift in the culture of our organization and the common desires of our employee base, which we are responding to.”
Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and operating in the Canadian market since 1989, SAP Canada serves over 2,300 customers and employs over 2,800 across Canada. The company has research and development labs in Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo and Vancouver.
