SAP Canada Recognized with Three Top Employer Accolades

SAP Canada, a subsidiary of SAP SE (NYSE: SAP), has been named a Best Workplace in Technology and Best Workplace for Millennials in Great Place to Work’s 2017 awards. The awards were determined solely by the input of employees, who provide feedback on their jobs and work environments. The company also received inaugural recognition for gender parity.

Best Workplaces in Technology, a subsidiary of the globally-recognized Great Place to Work Award, is decided by the overall Trust Index© score of technology organizations across Canada. The Trust Index score is based on employee responses to survey questions related to the frequency of great workplace behaviours, transparency of communication, degree of collaboration, quality of benefits programs, opportunities for professional development, and support for work-life balance.

To qualify for Best Workplaces for Millennials, 30% of an organization’s employees must fit the millennial age demographic, and a minimum 90% positive response to the statement “I am treated fairly regardless of my age.” This award is also decided by an overall Trust Index score.

Agnes Garaba, Head of HR, SAP Canada, said: “We are proud that SAP Canada continues to be recognized as a great place to work and a top employer. These most current awards were based entirely on employee feedback, giving a real weight of authenticity to the recognition. The millennial award in particular reflects the evolving culture of our workplaces and the positive experiences of young people working here.”

Elsewhere, SAP Canada has been named among 17 businesses as the first to receive Parity Certification by Women in Governance, which launched the initiative in June 2017 to help businesses in Quebec and Canada increase women’s representation in positions of responsibility. Businesses awarded Parity Certification have taken concrete measures for the advancement of women within their ranks.

Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and operating in the Canadian market since 1989, SAP Canada serves more than 2,300 customers and employs more than 3,200 across Canada. The company has research and development labs in Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo and Vancouver.
