TORONTO, Canada – Dec. 6, 2017 – SAP Canada, a subsidiary of SAP SE (NYSE: SAP), has been recognized as the best place to work in Canada in Glassdoor’s list of Best Places to Work in 2018. The company jumps from 10th place in 2017 to 1st in 2018, with its average employee rating rising from 4.2/5 to 4.5/5.
This year and for the first time in Glassdoor’s 10-year history, SAP is one of two companies to appear on all five of its employee-voted Best Places to Work lists in Canada, US, UK, Germany and France.
On Glassdoor, current and former employees of companies worldwide share insights and opinions about their work environments by posting reviews. Employees rate their satisfaction with the company overall, as well as key workplace factors including career opportunities, compensation, benefits, work/life balance, senior management, and culture and values.
The Best Places to Work are determined using reviews shared by Canada-based employees between November 1, 2016 and October 22, 2017. The final list is compiled based on Glassdoor’s proprietary algorithm, which considers quantity, quality and consistency of reviews.

This latest award takes SAP Canada’s tally of top employer accolades for 2017 to nine. At the end of November, Waterstone Human Capital recognized SAP Canada for having one of Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures. Earlier in November, the company became a 2018 Aon Best Employer in Canada and, for the fourth consecutive year, was included in Mediacorp’s 2018 Canada’s Top 100 Employers list. In October, SAP Canada was named a Best Workplace in Technology and Best Workplace for Millennials by Great Place to Work, and in the same month received Parity Certification from Women in Governance. February saw the company certified as top a Canadian employer by Top Employers Institute, and in January it became one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for Young People by Mediacorp.
