TORONTO, Canada – Jan. 16, 2018 – SAP Canada, a subsidiary of SAP SE (NYSE: SAP), has for the first time been recognized as a Best Workplace for Inclusion in 2018 by Great Place to Work, a global authority on high-trust, high-performance workplace cultures.
The list of the 25 Best Workplaces for Inclusion is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of Canadian organizations surveyed by Great Place to Work. For organizations to be eligible for the award, at least 90% of employees must agree they are treated fairly regardless of personal characteristics (such as gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation).
Agi Garaba, head of HR, SAP Canada, said: “Inclusion is difficult to measure – it’s more something that is sensed across an organization and achieved in abstract ways. You can feel the effects of employees not feeling included, and the impact that has on morale and the performance of an organization, just as you can feel the effects of strong inclusion on employees feeling valued and respected. The difference between the two is everything.”
Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and operating in the Canadian market since 1989, SAP Canada serves more than 2,300 customers and employs more than 3,200 across Canada. The company has research and development labs in Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo and Vancouver.
