TORONTO, Canada — February 8, 2018 —SAP Canada, a subsidiary of SAP SE (NYSE: SAP), announces the appointment of Sam Masri as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this role, he will lead the development and consistent execution of the company’s go-to-market strategy across its on-premise and cloud solutions. He will also lead the organization’s technology, value and industry teams to drive digital transformation across the country.

With a track record of delivering on large-scale business transformation programs across North America, EMEA and Asia, Masri’s career history includes roles with Booz & Company, Johnson & Johnson and Oracle Corporation.

Masri joined SAP Canada in 2013 and led Industry Value Engineering (IVE), an organization of industry experts and management consultants who play a central role in building strategic digital innovation projects, and work with teams across SAP to bring the transformations – and the impact on a customer’s business – to life.

“My belief is technology only matters if it creates game-changing business value for the customers we work with, and there are huge opportunities today to do that,” said Masri. “Digital is about creating new models that will transform companies – even industries – and it has to be prioritized at the board and CEO level. I’m excited to continue advocating this message in my new post.”

Andy Canham, managing director, SAP Canada, said: “Sam’s leadership of the IVE team helped SAP Canada become an essential component of the success we have had in recent years driving digital innovation at companies of every size across the country and in all industries. He now steps up to the COO role, where he will accelerate our focus and ability to enable digital transformation for our customers.”

Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and operating in the Canadian market since 1989, SAP Canada serves more than 14,000 customers and employs over 3,200 across Canada. The company has research and development labs in Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo and Vancouver.
