SAP Canada Wins Four Top Employer Awards

TORONTO, November 9, 2018 – SAP Canada, a subsidiary of SAP SE (NYSE: SAP), has been named one of Canada’s 25 Best Workplaces in Technology and a Best Workplace in Canada by Great Place to Work. The company has also been recognized as a Platinum Level Aon Best Employer in Canada by Aon Hewitt and included in Mediacorp’s 2019 Canada’s Top 100 Employers list.

The Great Place to Work awards are determined solely by the input of employees, who provide responses to survey questions related to the frequency of great workplace behaviours, transparency of communication, degree of collaboration, quality of benefits programs, opportunities for professional development, and support for work-life balance.

Aon Best Employer in Canada, also based on responses to employee surveys, recognizes organizations that achieve outstanding results among their Canadian counterparts in four areas: engaging employees, demonstrating effective leadership, building a performance culture and using the strength of their employer brand.

Mediacorp bases its Canada’s Top 100 Employers selections on the workplace, employee benefits, development opportunities, and community involvement. These are some of the reasons for SAP Canada’s inclusion on the 2019 list:

  • SAP Canada offers several great financial benefits for all employees, including profit-sharing and year-end bonus programs available to all employees, generous new employee referral bonuses (up to $2,500), and a defined contribution pension plan to help employees save for the longer term.
  • SAP Canada’s recently-renovated Yaletown office includes collaborative spaces, dedicated “thinking” rooms, a micro-market (with concessions from local vendors such as Leafy Greens and Ready Maid), an onsite fitness facility, a wellness room, and walls adorned with photography, sculptures and painted murals by local artists, in keeping with a West Coast theme.
  • An industry leader, SAP Canada starts new employees with 3 weeks of paid vacation, moving to 4 weeks after only 3 years of employment.

These latest four awards for SAP Canada follow the company recently receiving EDGE Recertification from EDGE Certified Foundation and National Parity Certification from Women in Governance, both of which recognize employers for their commitment to gender parity and equality.

Headquartered in Toronto, Ontario and operating in the Canadian market since 1989, SAP Canada serves more than 14,000 customers and employs more than 3,200 people across Canada. The company has research and development labs in Montreal, Toronto, Waterloo and Vancouver.
