VANCOUVER, MONTREAL, WATERLOO, Canada<\/em> \u2013 <\/strong>SAP Labs Canada, the Canadian development centre for SAP SE, announces the appointment of Cindy Fagen<\/strong> as Managing Director<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In this role, Cindy will lead the strategic direction of SAP\u2019s product development and innovation hubs in Vancouver, Montreal and Waterloo, serving nearly 3,000 employees.<\/p>\n

\"HeadshotPreviously SAP Labs Canada\u2019s chief operating officer (COO), Cindy has been managing the business of the organization since 2014. Cindy brings an entrepreneurial spirit, while also offering continuity in this time of unprecedented global disruption. As COO, Cindy was a fierce champion of SAP.iO, SAP\u2019s program to seed intrapreneurship among SAP employees, initiating venture studios in SAP Canada locations from coast to coast. She also spearheaded the implementation of innovation spaces and programs to advance employee learning, innovation and community partnerships.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy goal is to solidify SAP Labs Canada as the best place to work in technology,\u201d said Cindy. \u201cWe know we have unrivaled talent and a culture that is second to none. I\u2019m truly honoured to step into this role and to continue building a business that serves our employees so they can be at their best while in service of our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cindy also brings a tenure of strong technology experience in companies large and small. Before joining SAP in 2014, Cindy was president and founder of a digital media startup and spent many years in customer-facing leadership roles at organizations like Dassault Syst\u00e8mes. She is passionate about advancing STEM education and supporting women in entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n

Cindy will take the reins from SAP Labs Canada\u2019s longtime managing director, Kirsten Sutton who is leaving SAP to pursue new opportunities. \u201cCindy is an incredible leader and has been at the helm of our operations and several of our most successful innovation activities,\u201d says Kirsten Sutton, outgoing managing director for SAP Labs Canada. \u201cIt has been my honour to serve the brilliant, passionate and dedicated employees of SAP Labs Canada and I\u2019m thrilled to pass the torch to Cindy.\u201d<\/p>\n
