Whisky producer automates workload

Whisky and gin producer Chivas Brothers (Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet, Beefeater Gin) has optimized its IT processes with the help of service automation experts UC4 Software. The Pernod Ricard subsidiary was having difficulty coping with the huge volumes of data from its ERP system at peak times.

UC4 Software took on the task of automating Chivas Brothers’ application workload. The result for Chivas was reduced runtimes and consistently high system performance – even at peak times – through shifting some processes to the night.

TDS: value-added tax adjustment in a complete package

On January 1, 2010, new legislation came into force in Germany to implement European Union regulations on the VAT treatment of international services and the filing of returns. All companies that maintain international business relations are affected.

TDS now offers companies that run SAP complete packages to import the new rules into the SAP system. The packages comprise adjustments in the SAP modules for financials, sales and distribution, and materials management, and cost from €1,200.

SAP Business All-in-One in 65 days

Software company itelligence plans to implement its industry solution it.compact within 65 days at IT service provider ITFlat. The new system is slated to be up and running by mid-February 2010 and will include SAP BusinessObjects and SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM). According to itelligence, this is a unique project, which is only possible thanks to the preconfigured products. Thomas Barsch, managing director of ITFlat, hopes that his company will be able to reap the benefits of the integrated solution as fast as possible. In particular, he believes the evaluation options of SAP BusinessObjects and the customer relationship management tools in SAP CRM will be indispensable.
