Freudenberg IT offering hosting services for SAP CRM
Freudenberg IT (FIT), a certified SAP partner in hosting and cloud services, is now offering hosting for the rapid deployment of SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM).
With the rapid-deployment solution, customers can start using SAP CRM within six to eight weeks in a software-as-a-service (SaaS) format. Along with the corresponding usage licenses, FIT provides hosting and application management for one monthly fee; it also keeps sensitive customer data in its local infrastructure rather than in the cloud. According to FIT, this hosting service is suitable for companies of any size.
Generate documents from Word and SAP with Circle Unlimited
With cuDocument Builder from Circle Unlimited AG, users can automatically generate documents from Microsoft Word templates and SAP master and transaction data (such as on orders, contracts, and projects). The software can create standard correspondence and other documents in Word format and then transmit them by e-mail while defining sections and content for further processing.
The documents are archived and stored for later use based on standards such as BDS (Business Document Service), DVS (a document management system) und RM (Records Management). The latest version of cuDocument Builder also enables users to make later modifications to variable document text, such as when SAP master data changes.
Computacenter to provide virtualization to German federal authorities
The IT service provider Computacenter recently concluded a €12 million, 24-month framework agreement with the German federal government. Through a type of “government shopping center,” Germany’s federal authorities will now obtain their virtualization software from Computacenter in the form of the core technology VMware.
Meanwhile, an additional €2.8 million contract will cover various other services, such as server and client consolidation, client centralization, and system management, as well as application and profile virtualization. Computacenter’s approach will make it possible to supply and integrate VMware virtualization solutions with products and services from other providers from a single source.
All for One assisting non-profit with All for Automotive implementation
GWW, a German non-profit organization and part of the automotive supply industry, is implementing the SAP Business All-in-One industry solution All for Automotive for around 200 users with the help of All for One Midmarket AG. By replacing its Infor XPPS application, GWW hopes to eliminate numerous interfaces while improving internal processes and customer communication.
GWW is facing a particular challenge in taking both supply-chain and social processes – such as in administering therapy and aiding the disabled – into account, which is why the organization plans to continue using All for EDI for its electronic data transfers and the software TopSoz to handle service billing with its benefactors.
For the implementation of All for Automotive, GWW opted for the All for One Implementation Service to assist its project team. During this phase, the operation and provision of the solution will be outsourced to a data center.
Steeb implementing SAP Business All-in-One for Koch Media
After setting its store in SAP BusinessObjects, the digital entertainment producer and marketer Koch Media GmbH has now also decided to carry out an international implementation of SAP Business All-in-One. The SAP partner Steeb Anwendungssysteme GmbH will be handling the actual rollout of the ERP solution.
Since extending its presence to a total of 10 countries through a series of acquisitions, Koch Media has had to consolidate data and processes from four different ERP systems. SAP Business All-in-One will give the company the ability to centralize its financial management and IT administration, as well as handle controlling for its entire organization.
Koch Media’s heterogeneous business processes have necessitated a two-stage implementation. In the first phase, a master template was introduced in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy, where the company’s employees have been working with a centralized system since July 2010. Koch Media plans to roll SAP Business All-in-One out in the United States and France by mid-2011 and also start using it for logistics processes in the medium term.
