Continental gets IT services on demand
The SAP landscape of Hamburg-based automotive component supplier Continental is set to be consolidated and operated by T-Systems. This means that, in the future, Continental will pay for only the computer and storage capacity that it actually uses. Furthermore, no minimum or fixed duration has been stipulated in the contract between the two parties.
With this new model, T-Systems is catering to companies’ desire to have flexible contracts that provide and invoice services in line with order volumes, says T-Systems CEO Reinhard Clemens. Continental’s CIO Dr. Ralf Brunken is pleased to see his company agree an outsourcing deal that will reduce costs while at the same time offering tremendous flexibility.
