USA og Kina st\u00e5r bag to af dem, mens det tredje \u2013 noget overraskende \u2013 er de Forenede Arabiske Emiraters Hope-projekt, hvis form\u00e5l er at g\u00e5 i kredsl\u00f8b om Mars og samle meteorologiske informationer.<\/p>\n<p>Hope-projektet bryder med klassiske fordomme om, hvordan s\u00e5dan et projekt er bemandet. Teamets samlede gennemsnitsalder er 27 \u00e5r, og 80% af videnskabsfolkene og en tredjedel af teknikerne bag er kvinder. Det tager normalt 10-12 \u00e5r at klarg\u00f8re en mission, men i samarbejde med flere amerikanske universiteter, lykkedes det at klarg\u00f8re missionen p\u00e5 seks \u00e5r.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mangfoldighed i ledelse<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Lederen af Mars-projektet er 33-\u00e5rige Sarah Al Amiri, som ogs\u00e5 er videnskabsminister og leder af UAE Space Agency. Hun skriver i Financial Times, at den kollaborative og mangfoldige tilgang til projektet har givet succes. Hun mener, at mangfoldighed og globalt samarbejde ogs\u00e5 er n\u00f8glen til, at verden s\u00e5 exceptionelt hurtigt fik udviklet en vaccine mod COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>Her i Danmark tilslutter jeg mig hendes grundsynspunkt. Vi har brug for at fremme mangfoldighed og inklusion i b\u00e5de ledelse og i teknologiudvikling. Til trods for at vi har verdens mest veluddannede kvinder, er antallet af kvindelige ledere forholdsm\u00e6ssigt lavt og stiger kun langsomt. Det er en f\u00e6lles opgave at f\u00e5 de bedste talenter i spil, for det gavner b\u00e5de samfundet, virksomhederne og den enkelte. B\u00e5de klimaudfordringen og den ekstremt hurtige teknologiudvikling skriger p\u00e5 b\u00e6redygtig innovation. Og det er egentlig ikke synderligt revolutionerende da meget forskning fra f.eks. McKinsey finder en klar sammenh\u00e6ng mellem mangfoldighed i ledelse og bedre \u00f8konomisk bundlinje.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Kvinder ind i STEM<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Kunstig intelligens vokser hastigt i betydning som afg\u00f8rende forretningsm\u00e6ssig og samfundsm\u00e6ssig infrastruktur. Set i det lys er sk\u00e6vheder mellem k\u00f8n i de tekniske fag et voksende problem.<\/p>\n<p>Pigers interesse for science, teknologi, ingeni\u00f8rarbejde og matematik (STEM) er lige s\u00e5 stor som hos drengene, n\u00e5r de er 11-12 \u00e5r, men interessen falder voldsomt, n\u00e5r de bliver 15-16 \u00e5r. N\u00e5r jeg ser mig rundt i mit nuv\u00e6rende job i it-branchen, kan jeg ogs\u00e5 konstatere, at vi er meget, meget langt fra ligev\u00e6gt mellem k\u00f8nnene i de teknologiske jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Ja, vi ser mange kvinder i HR, kommunikation og marketing og som PA\u2019er i de toneangivende it-virksomheder, men i udviklingen af de teknologiske kerneprocesser skal man ofte have luppen frem for at st\u00f8ve en enkelt kvinde eller to op i et team med 20 medlemmer. Hvordan sikrer vi, at denne afg\u00f8rende teknologi er retf\u00e6rdig, alsidig, rummelig og bliver et gode for samfundet? Her m\u00e5 \u00e9n af n\u00f8glerne v\u00e6re, at den kunstige intelligens har b\u00e5de f\u00e6dre og m\u00f8dre, og at den ikke er farveblind i forhold til alder, etnicitet, religion og seksuel orientering.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Hvad kan vi g\u00f8re?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Jeg er b\u00e5de amerikansk og dansk statsborger, er bosat i Danmark og leder af SAP Business Wo\/Men Network i Danmark. Jeg sl\u00e5r gerne et slag for flere kvinder i STEM-fagene og poserer ogs\u00e5 gerne som rollemodel. Jeg tror, at vi b\u00e5de skal s\u00e6tte ind for at sikre et alsidigt rekrutteringsgrundlag (b\u00e5de i ledelse og i STEM) og s\u00e5 skal vi tage et opg\u00f8r med mulige barrierer i form af bias i beslutninger (for mange er det mere trygt at ans\u00e6tte personer, der minder om dem selv).<\/p>\n<p>Alle unders\u00f8gelser viser, at en mangfoldigt sammensat gruppe tr\u00e6ffer bedre beslutninger hurtigere. Det er tilsyneladende b\u00e5de forklaringen bag UAE\u2019s Mars-projektet\u00a0og den internationale succes mod COVID-19. N\u00e5r det kommer til fremtidens ledere, er det simpel sund fornuft at kigge p\u00e5 alle talenter og sikre, at der er en mangfoldig sammens\u00e6tning af teams og arbejdsf\u00e6llesskaber. Men hovedfokus m\u00e5 v\u00e6re kulturen i vores organisationer. Hvis vi ikke udvikler selve kulturen i vores organisationer, s\u00e5 den inkluderer og omfavner mangfoldigheden, s\u00e5 vil kvinder alligevel ikke forblive i lederrollen.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>L\u00f8ft barren!<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hbr.org\/2020\/04\/7-leadership-lessons-men-can-learn-from-women\">Harvard Business Review<\/a> skriver professor Tomas Chamorro-Premuzic, at kvinder demonstrerer en h\u00f8jere grad af efterspurgte lederegenskaber som at v\u00e6re l\u00f8sningsorienteret, analytisk, relationskompetent og empatisk. Derfor er det et paradoks, at kvinder er underrepr\u00e6senterede i lederrollerne.<\/p>\n<p>Han foresl\u00e5r, at vi dropper ideen om lederskabstr\u00e6ning af kvinder, s\u00e5 de kan agere som mandlige ledere (og han mener, at mange mandlige ledere faktisk ikke er kompetente nok). I stedet for at give kvinder v\u00e6rkt\u00f8jer til at navigere i en maskulint domineret kultur, burde vi i stedet uddanne m\u00e6nd til at blive mere effektive ledere, eliminere indbygget bias, og s\u00e5ledes bane vejen for mere kompetente kvindelige (og mandlige) ledere i fremtiden.<\/p>\n<p>Hans tanke er, at vi ikke skal s\u00e6nke barren for kvinder. Vi skal i stedet h\u00e6ve den for m\u00e6nd! Jeg er helt enig.
