Using the SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management application, Diplomat Distributors actively manages organizational performance by providing top management members access to eight key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling faster, more informed decisions on critical issues and opportunities.
Based in Israel, Diplomat Distributors operated locally for many years before it embarked on a global growth strategy. As the company grew and began to do business with consumer products leaders, it became essential to have an organized and disciplined data-gathering process.
Following a rapid implementation, Diplomat Distributors integrated SAP BusinessObjects Strategy Management with its existing investment in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution SAP ERP Financials for timely and accurate monitoring of critical KPIs around the clock. As a result, month-end closings have been reduced by 50 percent, from 10 working days to five, and the frequency of KPI reporting has increased from once a month to daily. Managers also now have access to consistently reliable information, which helps them to address issues faster and actively manage sales and margin growth.
