SAP’s Martin Mrugal quantifies the impact of this trend. “Today’s new technology and how it is applied to the design, production, transportation and distribution of a company’s products will set it apart in the eyes of the consumer, creating the most powerful and lasting competitive advantage a company can have.”
To keep us future-focused, SAP’s Pradeep Amladi’s recent Forbes.com blog [“Will your next car drive itself”] cites this now-classic Fleetwood Mac 1977 lyric: “Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow. Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here…” Ah, they were visionaries!
