You may not relate Formula1™ to analytical software, but high-performance auto racing is a data rich business. While cars race at speeds up to 200 mph (350 km/h), 120 onboard sensors constantly transmit data to help drivers and their crews optimize performance. The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1™ team runs SAP to make the most of that data, and plans to implement SAP HANA to collect and analyze even more information, more quickly, toward the win. In this video, Jonathan Neale, managing director of Vodafone McLaren Mercedes talks about the racing team’s fruitful collaboration with SAP.
