ParisTo offer customers even more choices when mobilizing their businesses, SAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that its vibrant partner ecosystem is delivering innovative apps built on Sybase® Unwired Platform. In addition to the mobile apps available now from SAP, the company estimates that 80 percent of future mobile application development in support of SAP® solutions will come from partners, all built on the platform.

More than 100 mobile apps, the majority of which are partner-built, will be showcased at SAPPHIRE® NOW + SAP® TechEd, being held as a co-located event in Madrid from November 8-10, 2011. Onsite in the “Mobility” campus, attendees will have the opportunity to see app demonstrations and numerous presentations, as well as interact with mobility experts, customers and partners. More than 200 partner apps were nominated to participate in the campus. All partner apps selected to be showcased onsite at the event — from more than 20 partner organizations — have been built on or will soon be available on Sybase Unwired Platform, the mobile enterprise application platform that enables enterprise developers to simply and quickly build enterprise-grade mobile applications that connect business data to mobile workers on most major devices.

“We are laser-focused on delivering customer-centric mobile innovation without disruption to our customers,” said Dr. Raj Nathan, executive vice president, Sybase, and corporate officer and head of Mobile Applications, SAP AG. “Working hand in hand, SAP and our partners provide customers with an expanded variety of mobile apps to help them mobilize line-of-business and industry processes, thus addressing their most critical business needs and staying ahead of the competition.”

To further explore ways to mobilize an organization’s enterprise, visit the SAP Partner Mobile Application Catalog microsite at www.sappartnermobileapps.com, which lists mobile apps currently available or in development with Sybase Unwired Platform for use with SAP applications. Many of these applications are planned for availability on SAP® Store, where customers can evaluate and download certified solutions from SAP and its partners, with ability to purchase planned for future availability.
