Brian M. Katz Director of Mobile Strategy for EUC, Office of the CTO, VMware
Brian Katz is the director of Mobile Strategy for EUC in the office of the CTO for VMware. He is responsible for setting the direction for VMware’s end user computing with a specific focus on mobility and enabling users. Previously he was the head of End User Experience and Innovation at Sanofi. He was responsible for ensuring a great user experience across apps and services within the organization while at the same time leading innovation initiatives and projects that affect the end user as well as IT
Prior to that, Brian managed mobile initiatives to enable the organization to move forward in the mobile space. These include mobilizing the salesforce, handling BYOD and COPE initiatives, and enabling new devices and form factors for success. He has more than 20 years’ experience managing and implementing IT processes and leading high performance teams. He started his career working with a multinational New York financial company as an email architect, designing and maintaining their email and communications systems. This also involved supporting their mobile computing platforms. He later moved to Sanofi where he led the x86/Microsoft server group for many years before moving into his current position.
He is a highly sought-after speaker, and was recognized as a Top 50 Must-Read IT Blogger for 2012, 2013, and 2014 by BizTech Magazine as well as one of the Best Business IT blogs of 2014 by Exigent Networks. His interests focus on the intersection of the user enablement, mobile, and design.
