Joe Barkai is an independent industry analyst and consultant whose experience spans product development, product management, and technical and business consulting in industries that include automotive, industrial equipment, high tech and medical equipment.
Joe’s consulting practice focuses on methods, processes and information technology tools to improve operations and decision-making capabilities in all product lifecycle phases: innovation, design and engineering, manufacturing, after-sales service, and end-of-life.
Joe’s current activities include the industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), connected cars, telematics and PLM.
Previously, Joe served as vice president of research at IDC, covering discrete manufacturing industries and leading global practices in product lifecycle management(PLM), service lifecycle management (SLM), and connected cars.
