John Steele Principal, Deloitte Consulting
John Steele is a principal with Deloitte Consulting LLP and leads the U.S. SAP Finance Transformation Practice. He has more than 20 years of experience both in consulting and corporate environments, and has spent the past 14 years focused on SAP-enabled business transformation initiatives. John has deep experience leading complex business transformation programs, with a focus on process redesign, shared services, analytics, and external reporting. He has also held lead roles for multiple global ERP implementation programs.
In recent years, John has focused his attention on the application of leading-edge technologies such as SAP HANA to solve his clients’ most pressing business issues, including co-leading Deloitte’s first HANA proof of concept in North America. More recently, he has been working to educate clients on the benefits of implementing in-memory technology within the ERP space.
Before joining Deloitte Consulting LLP eight years ago, John held leadership positions within the consumer products and investment banking sectors. Throughout his consulting career, he has served clients in a variety of industries, including consumer products, financial services, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, aerospace and defense, and media. His areas of specialty include program leadership, business process transformation, finance transformation, SAP HANA, SAP-enabled shared services and IFRS/Statutory/U.S. GAAP.
John received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh.
