Maricel Cabahug Global Head of Design, UX and SAP Fiori Product Management, SAP Fiori
As SAP’s Global Head of Design, UX and SAP Fiori product management, Maricel Cabahug leads a multidisciplinary team of designers, user researchers, architects, developers, product managers and design thinking practitioners responsible for the UX of SAP solutions.
Her team is also responsible for the delivery of SAP Fiori elements, a set of metadata-driven enterprise design patterns and controls to help SAP and its ecosystem scale. By institutionalizing the design-led development process at SAP, Maricel and her team bring the design thinking methodology into product development and change how SAP develops software.
Prior to joining SAP in 2011, Maricel was the CIO of Yaskawa Electric, an SAP reference customer, giving her firsthand experience of the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise software. She remembers user adoption as one of most challenging aspects of her job as a CIO. Now at SAP, she works to solve this challenge for SAP’s customers.
Maricel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from Ateneo de Manila University and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
