Martin Mrugal Executive Sponsor, S4/HANA Platform, SAP
Martin Mrugal is currently responsible SAP’s innovation agenda for North America including the Chief Customer Office, Solution Engineering, Industry and Value Engineering and the Centers of Excellence organizations. He is also the Executive Sponsor for S4/HANA Platform.
His career with SAP spans over seventeen years and prior to his current assignment Martin was the COO for the Ariba Cloud Procurement and Business Network. He has also held positions as the COO for Industry Solutions and head of SAP’s Manufacturing Industries and Solutions business globally.
He also spent time on assignment for the SAP Executive Board working on a software development change management program.
Prior to his Board assignment, Martin held the position of National Vice President and General Manager responsible for Mid-sized Enterprise Solutions and Products. In this role, he directed the North American strategy, launch and sales of a new software as a service (SAAS) solution called Business By Design. He also successfully led industry, presales and product management teams in past roles.
Before joining SAP, Martin spent 12 years at Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail), where he held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing, finance, and logistics strategy. He successfully started new lines of business, analyzed complex supply chains for industrial manufacturing companies, and developed new distribution strategies and facilities for them.
Examples of the clients he worked with include Chrysler, DuPont, GM, Ford, and Honda and Toyota. Martin studied supply chain logistics, economics and marketing as an undergraduate and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University.
Martin completed SAP’s Global Leadership Development Program at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France and resides in the United States.
