Oliver Bussmann is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of SAP AG. Since joining SAP in 2009, he has realigned the Global IT organization with SAP’s strategic objectives, transforming it into an agile organization to meet SAP’s growing business demands. His strategy development, execution, and client interaction were key factors in SAP Global IT winning the coveted the European IT Workplace of the Year 2012 Award, and the European CIO of the Year Award in 2012. Reported by Forbes, a recent study puts Oliver Bussmann at the top of the list of most socially active CIOs in the Fortune 250 and Global 250. He was named one of the “Top 25” Executives in Technology by the Wall Street Journal in 2011. Building SAP´s brand as a leader in this market, Oliver launched the CIO blog, built an extensive Twitter community, and earned a mass of media mentions.
