The hybrid. It’s not just about cars. The newest hybrid in today’s fast lane is the cloud.

Kamesh Pemmaraju described it in a 2010 blog: “Many industry observers believe that companies will move towards using a combination of private and public clouds in a hybrid architecture based on their business needs and workload characteristics.”

Laurent Lachal adds, “Cloud computing is hybrid because it is user-centric. Hybrid clouds are about finding the right organization-specific mix of cloud resources.”
