TokyoSAP Japan Co., Ltd. has developed and launched SAP Best Practices for High Tech, a new tool specifically for the electronics, electrical, and precision components industries. This is an industry-specific version of SAP Best Practices, an automatic setting tool that dramatically advances the process of installing backbone systems. Based on SAP Best Practices for High Tech, Technos Japan Co., Ltd. has developed and added unique scenarios to provide Fact – Best Practices for High Tech, which is available from today, together with related services.

SAP Best Practices for High Tech is a tool that enables the setting work process to be automated, by defining industry-specific business scenarios and functional modules in advance. This enables a substantial reduction in the man-hours required for installation. In addition to globally utilizable business scenarios, based on SAP’s proven record of installation over more than 30 years, SAP Japan has developed and incorporated numerous business scenarios unique to Japan, as tools to flexibly meet a diverse range of conditions in Japan. Such tools, which are co-developed with SAP Japan’s business partners, are provided free of charge by SAP Japan after field testing.

Technos Japan, as a development partner for SAP Best Practices, has promptly and proactively responded to this initiative. To enable rapid, low-cost installation, Technos Japan has already released Fact-1, a template for sales businesses, and fact-CS, a consolidated accounting template. Now, utilizing its experience of installing SAP R/3 in the electronics, electrical, and precision components industries, Technos Japan has quickly scaled up such capabilities to provide Fact – Best Practices for High Tech. By making maximal use of the pre-defined scenarios in SAP Best Practices and extensive documentation, installation time and cost have been cut by approximately 30% relative to the conventional standard installation method. By promoting fixed-price installation as a business model, SAP Japan helps customers install ERPs without financial worries.
