Enhances capabilities for easy operation and installation as integration tools
Tokyo — SAP Japan Co., Ltd. announced today that it will start shipping “SAP Business One integration for SAP NetWeaver” (“B1i”), an integration tool for SAP Business One (B1), which is an ERP package for SMEs. B1i utilizes predefined business integration scenarios at small and midsized associates and business centers of larger companies to support the rapid integration of business processes. This integration tool will be provided free of charge to current users of SAP products.
Integration of business processes within a conglomerate and the growth of small or midsized companies entail major issues, including the establishment of centers overseas and in Japan, responding to various changes in specifications by suppliers and customers, reducing the cost of installing and operating systems, and maintaining interfaces between different applications. Rapid resolution of these issues regarding business processes and systems, in order to utilize high-precision data to gain an overview of business in real time and to implement sound process management for internal control, is a key factor essential to the future management of corporate groups.
B1i is an integration tool developed with the aim of resolving these issues. It provides two scenarios: data transfer and conversion through integration with master data, and automatic inventory checking and receipt generation for transactions within a corporate group. From now on, SAP plans to expand the range of business integration scenarios provided, in order to meet the diverse needs of its customers.
Several Japanese conglomerates that operate overseas have already installed and verified B1i globally. It has earned high regard for the following reasons: Utilizing current scenarios enables installation in less than three weeks, and users themselves can conduct maintenance and easily operate the system even if their business processes change.
B1i is provided for the purpose of promoting business process integration among users of mySAP ERP, SAP NetWeaver, and B1. In Japan, B1i is available through SAP Japan and its partners. From now on, SAP Japan will hold workshops for partners and users as appropriate, providing powerful support for global center development by various types of corporate groups, and advances in the use of IT by SMEs, which face numerous constraints on cost and installation time.
