2007 New Year Message
Tokyo — I would like to extend my sincere happy New Year wishes to everyone.
Forecasts indicate that the Japanese economy will continue to show a sustained growth, which is a positive trend that started a few years ago. As the economy grows, Japanese companies are increasingly experiencing a fast changing domestic and international environment as they are setting up operations in Asian countries such as China, and anticipate the implementation of the Japanese version of Sarbanes-Oxley (J-SOX) next year.
For businesses to be able to perceive this transition as ‘opportunities’ for ‘growth’, they must be prepared for fierce competition and increased complicated compliance, both elements that require the integration of business management and IT.
We believe that ‘fast-growing companies have a variety of challenges during their transformation period’, and SAP Japan will continue to offer the best solutions by understanding customers’ business operations and issues. In 2007, we will enhance customer confidence and satisfaction, and pursue to ‘maximize the value we offer to our customers’ by providing cutting edge products and services that are aligned with the latest technology. Above all, we will promote the idea of enterprise service-oriented architecture (enterprise SOA) as it delivers real value to our customers.
Enterprise SOA will assist companies in ‘aligning top management business strategies with business processes’. Through mySAP ERP 2005, which is a long-term stable platform, customers will be able to continuously upgrade the latest technology and business process.
SAP Japan will remain committed to support the efforts of our customers and partners to implement their growth strategies. SAP Japan employees and myself are fully dedicated to achieve ‘fast-forward growth” together with our customers and partners, and we look forward to assist you in meeting the new challenges.
