SAP Supports KSA Growth through Investments in Knowledge Economy

José Duarte, president of SAP EMEA & India, in Riyadh to Meet with Key Customers

RIYADH, Kingdom of Saudi ArabiaIn Riyadh today to meet with key customers, José Duarte, president of EMEA & India, SAP, outlined the importance of the Saudi market as a strategic territory for the leading software vendor. Recognizing the Kingdom’s growing role in the global economy, Duarte emphasized the role innovative technology solutions have to play in enabling clarity, efficiency and competitiveness.

According to SAP executives recent uncertainty in the economic landscape has resulted in dramatic shifts in customer buying behaviors with influencing factors including the need for rapid deployment and return on investment, flexible consumption models, a shift in centers of influence from the CIO to business process owners, and total cost of ownership being front of mind.

“The Kingdom is experiencing rapid development and has one of the fastest growing technology markets in the world. As part of our pledge to the Saudi market we are working with our customers to help them become globally competitive, sustainable businesses through the use of innovative, high value solutions,” said José Duarte, president of EMEA and India, SAP.

For the benefit of customers and partners in the Kingdom, SAP will also host its World Tour events in Jeddah on March 21 and Riyadh on April 20. The company is inviting an audience of C-level executives, IT decision makers and business managers from leading Saudi companies.

“SAP is recognized by KSA authorities as one of the top three IT companies leading investment in the Kingdom – we are reacting to customer needs in Saudi Arabia by driving innovation, developing long-term strategic and flexible partnerships and delivering agile business solutions that respond quickly to changing market demands,” said Abdul-Raheem Bawazeer, managing director, SAP KSA.

The theme of the World Tour events is “See Your Way Clear: Strategies for Success in the New Reality” and their purpose is to give attendees unique insight into how SAP is adapting its business model and technology offerings to help organizations respond to a continually evolving business environment. The World Tour will visit countries including Oman, Qatar, Jordan and Lebanon and will focus on central themes of clarity, transparency and innovation as enablers of sustainable, Best-Run businesses.

Saudi companies attending also have the opportunity to learn more about how SAP can facilitate these goals by industry and business area, and how an increasing number of organizations are benchmarking against their peers and re-thinking IT investments to deliver high-impact value creation.

The SAP World Tour also provides an exclusive opportunity for attendees to share best practices and ideas with other top-level executives, SAP customers and partners and receive exclusive previews of future SAP applications.
