Abdullah Abdulghani and Brothers Co. Puts Customer Experience in Fast Lane with SAP Technology

DOHA, QatarMarking the 50th anniversary of being awarded the Toyota dealership in Qatar, Abdullah Abdulghani and Brothers Co. WLL (AAB) is putting the customer experience in the fast lane with SAP technology solutions.

In its goal to become the Middle East’s best auto dealer, AAB is revamping its back-office and front-office processes with SAP, and became the first dealer in the region to implement SAP’s Dealer Business Management 8.0 solution, which integrates and simplifies sales and warehousing to focus on customer demands.

Demonstrating the strong motoring demand in Qatar, the value of imported vehicles and number of driver’s licenses issued are both up 15 percent, and the number of registered vehicles is up 13 percent, year-over-year from January-April 2014 to 2015, according to the Qatar Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics.

In 2014, Qatar imported QAR 9.75 billion (USD 2.68 billion) worth of motor cars and motor vehicles, registered 110,811 vehicles, and issued 105,100 driver’s licenses, according to the Ministry.

AAB’s top management have noted that as one of Qatar’s leading automotive brands, they have simplified their technology infrastructure to enhance customer experience. With SAP’s technology and world-class processes, and a strong commitment from management, AAB will have the real-time visibility in products and services to meet Qatar’s rising demand for motor vehicles. The company aims to ensure that our customers can find shorter queues, better visibility on spare parts, and enhanced invoicing,

Founded in 1958, AAB operates two Toyota and Lexus showrooms and eight service centers, and has more than 3,000 employees across the country.

AAB marked one of the world’s fastest deployments of Dealer Business Management, which SAP has found can lead to a 35.5 percent higher business satisfaction for organizations. This speed of deployment can be attributed to the commitment the company made in terms of resources and infrastructure to meet its objective.

“We’re dedicated to revving up innovation at AAB by taking our global best practices in sustainable automotive technology solutions to help AAB better manage their supply chain and inventory in response to changing customer demographics. AAB will take the customer experience to the next level – supporting the business for the next 50 years and beyond,” said Gergi Abboud, Managing Director, SAP Gulf.

AAB also plans to drive forward its digitization efforts with SAP to leverage the investment made in this platform.
