Volkswagen Logistics Relies on cuContract

Thanks to cuContract, the employees of Volkswagen Logistics can now access around current 7,000 contracts in real time. This SAP-based solution from Circle Unlimited AG provides automated contract management, replacing the complex, error-prone manual management required in the company’s previous system.

The legal department at Volkswagen Logistics is also benefiting from the new solution. Among other advantages, reliable analyses of previous contract data help its invoice verification clerks work more efficiently.

IBM Servers Offer up to 33% in Savings in SAP Operations

According to a report from the International Technology Group (ITG), IBM Power Systems servers can reduce costs by up to 33% in SAP operations compared to Intel-based x86 servers. The use of virtualization technology and energy-conservation methods makes this possible.

The ITG report compared the costs accrued for hardware procurement and maintenance, software licenses and support, human resources, facility operations, and energy over a period of three years.

World Market Leader in Vehicle Mirror Actuators Implements SAP Solution

Mirror Controls international (MCi), the world’s leading provider of mirror actuators for the automotive industry, has begun using it.automotive supplier. This solution from the SAP consultancy itelligence is based on SAP Business All-in-One and tailored to the needs of the automotive supply industry.

The implementation of it.automotive supplier took approximately eight months at the MCi’s main plant in the Netherlands, with rollouts following at the company’s plants in Ireland and Mexico. MCi soon plans to connect its new plant in China with the SAP system, as well.

First Utility Company to Implement SAP CRM

For its customer support, Erdgas Sübayern GmbH (ESB) is relying on a software solution from the SAP partner Ettlinger cormeta ag based on the current version of SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM).

Thanks to the new solution, the company’s sales employees can now access all archived data on individual properties and parcels at any time, regardless of their location. They need only Internet access and a Web browser to access the corresponding database.

SAP Partner Freudenberg IT Implements SAP Search

The IT service provider Freudenberg IT, which specializes in small businesses and midsize companies, was one of the first SAP partners in Germany to begin integrating SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search into existing system landscapes.

This function helps users quickly find both structured and unstructured data. In doing so, SAP NetWeaver Enterprise Search scours not only through SAP applications, but all other programs a company uses, as well.
