OpenText promising speedy travel expense accounting

Thanks to an OpenText application integrated into SAP Travel Management, users can now collect travel receipts in digital form and add them to expense reports. The recently released product is being sold under the name SAP Travel Receipts Management by OpenText as part of the company’s reseller partnership with SAP. Meanwhile, the application’s support for multifunction and fax devices, scanning, and e-mail programs further simplify electric document entry.

Apps4erp.com, an online portal for SAP add-ons, is the place to go for anyone who needs an HR solution in short order. In the section for SAP ERP Human Capital Management, for example, HR departments can find software enhancements for applicant management, time and arrival recording, payroll, and other areas of personnel management. The add-ons on offer come from the likes of NorthgateArinso, switspot, FIS Informationssysteme, and C1 Solutions. According to Apps4erp.de, around 14,000 visitors use the portal to read up on SAP add-ons every month.

Abayoo offering app for SAP Business ByDesign

Abayoo Business Network GmbH is releasing an app that facilitates mobile access to HR databases in SAP Business ByDesign. With it, users can browse the address book of their company’s personnel database and contact employees directly by phone or e-mail – all from their iPhones. Abayoo is also planning further enhancements for SAP’s on-demand solution.

ORTEC founds new SAP-related business area

ORTEC, an IT service provider in the logistics industry, has established an independent division that will focus solely on implementing SAP logistics solutions. ORTEC Software Consulting for SAP Solutions will concentrate in particular on rollouts of the new SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM 8.0). Meanwhile, the company also recently became a member of the Future Logistics Living Lab. Founded by SAP, NICTA, and Fraunhofer at the Australian Technology Park in Sydney, this institution deals with new technologies in the field of logistics.

MID obtains certification for Innovator for Business Analysts

The SAP Integration and Certification Center has given its seal of approval to Innovator for Business Analysts 11.3 from MID GmbH, making the company an official SAP software solution partner. The solution in question aids in selecting, implementing, adjusting, and operating SAP business software. With its HCM-OCI interface, for example, employees can export organizational structures maintained in SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) down to the user level and take advantage of automated graphical presentations.
