UNIORG implementing SAP Business Communications Management for IP-based interaction

In the first implementation project of its kind in Germany, UNIORG is helping VEKA AG connect its communication systems to SAP Business Communications Management. This software is replacing the telecommunications equipment at a number of the company’s locations and establishing a uniform, IP-based communication platform for e-mail, phone calls, text messages, and faxes.

In addition, the software supports integration into SAP ERP and SAP Customer Relationship Management without the need for middleware. At VEKA AG – a manufacturer of plastic profiles, windows, doors, and rolling shutters – this means call-center agents and other employees will all have the same up-to-date information.

Sycor carrying out release upgrade of B2B online store

Sycor is currently upgrading the online store of Otto Bock Healthcare GmbH to the latest version of SAP Web Channel Experience Management. Parallel to this project, Otto Bock Healthcare is also adjusting the store to reflect its corporate design. Since 2002, the company has been using SAP solutions for online business – including, until recently, SAP E-Commerce for SAP R/3 (formerly SAP Internet Sales R/3 Edition).

The upgrade to SAP Web Channel Experience Management is part of Otto Bock Healthcare’s effort to keep its technology current. The application’s functions include guest login, credit card payment, wish lists, and external catalog integration. It also supports Ajax and other cutting-edge Web technologies.

Meanwhile, users can designate customer-specific prices thanks to SAP’s Configuration Engine. The application’s integration of JQuery also replaces catalog navigation with an animated fly-out menu, and customers can access product details directly by means of deep links. Finally, SAP Web Channel Experience Management is also integrated into Otto Bock Healthcare’s other sales software and SAP ERP, which provides for real-time data and prevents redundancies.

TDS forges cooperation in HR controlling

The SAP partner TDS has begun a cooperation with Detect Value GmbH, which offers tools for human resource- and IT controlling based on SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio, and Qlik View. Detect Value’s range of software is tailored to TDS’s own portfolio and supports rapid implementation in existing IT infrastructures.

Detect Value can thus provide its customers with services related to SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) and P&I LOGA – including business intelligence functions enhanced by Qlik View. In combination with SAP ERP HCM, Detect Value’s BI solution has HR controlling fully covered – regardless of your company’s size and industry.

ABAYOO finds development partner for SAP Business ByDesign

ABAYOO Business Network GmbH has entered into a solution partnership with agent factory GmbH. Together, the two companies plan to develop mobile applications that extend the functional scope of SAP Business ByDesign.

IBIS conducts stress test of SAP Business ByDesign

IBIS-Laps, a cooperative research project of the University of Würzburg (Germany) and IBIS Prof. Thome AG, recently conducted a stress test of SAP Business ByDesign. The test involved 150 information management students carrying out a “Business Integration Trainee” case study seminar and running through business processes with an eye on their stability and suitability for real-world situations.

The project’s aim is to translate the technologies and processes contained in SAP Business ByDesign into a pedagogical concept for institutes of higher learning. The testing performed was thus also designed to determine whether the solution is adequate for educating students at major universities. The project members carried out 14 case studies in the Business Integration Trainee program, as well as processes related to purchasing and sales, logistics, financial statements, and other areas.

Hanse Orga opens subsidiary in the U.S.

Hanse Orga AG, a provider of financial accounting software, has opened a subsidiary in the United States. The Hanse Orga International Corporation will be marketing its parent company’s FinanceSuite in the country from its new offices in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which it moved into on March 1.
