Through a social responsibility project, SAP has partnered with the National Federation of Coffee Farmers in Colombia — to make life better for the coffee-bean growers in the country.

Through tablets, software, infrastructure, and training, SAP is giving farmers the tools and teaching necessary to compete in a global market. The farmers can collaborate, check prices, and make informed decisions about selling

Project goal: train, equip and set the stage for the future

The project’s goal is to train 500 farmers by the end of the year. Many of these farmers have never used computers before, so the project is equipping them for the modern age — and setting the stage for a prosperous future. These farmers, in turn, can return to the rural areas where they live and share their knowledge with their communities.
