MUNICH — SAP SE announced the University Competence Center (UCC) location at Technische Universität München (TUM) has successfully obtained the “SAP certified for SAP Hosting Services” and “SAP certified in SAP HANA Operations Services” statuses and became the first certified UCC worldwide. According to the rigid standards followed by TUM, the UCC location, led by Prof. Dr. Helmut Krcmar, offers excellent research and educational services within an international alliance of partners.
Upon successful completion of the certification audit session led by SAP, the UCC location at TUM proved it is capable of providing hosting services and solutions, including the operation and maintenance of SAP applications. Additionally, the UCC location at TUM demonstrated the ability to offer operations services for solutions powered by the SAP HANA platform with high quality operational standards to build a Big Data innovation center for SAP software.
“Our mission at the UCC locatino at TUM is the provisioning of outstanding educational and research services as community services,” said Harald Kienegger, co-executive director of University Competence Center at TUM. “To ensure ongoing high standards for the management of SAP solutions, the UCC location at TUM underwent a rigorous assessment of our delivery and support capabilities by SAP’s outsourcing partner certification group.”
