Following the acquisition, the entire SAF portfolio is planned for integration into the SAP Forecasting and Replenishment application, which enables customers to manage stock in near real-time and reduce the risk of stock shortages and surpluses. The two companies have collaborated for many years in the area of retail software.
At the same time, SAP announced the latest release of the SAP Forecasting and Replenishment application, which is to become generally available in Q2 2012. This release will allow retailers to manage the flow of goods coming from various distribution centers and suppliers with one single package. It fully automates store replenishment, includes advanced forecasting algorithms, and provides visibility throughout all stages of the replenishment process.
