SAP’s main topics at CeBIT will be the latest innovations of the SAP NetWeaver open integration and application platform as well as mySAP ERP, the comprehensive enterprise resource management (ERP) solution. Also focusing on the SMB space; SAP will showcase a broad range of solutions tailored to company size as well as vertical industry demands with the flexible and scalable SAP Business One and mySAP All-in-One solutions. The SAP for Public Sector industry solution portfolio will be presented in the Public Sector Parc in Hall 11. Financial service providers can learn more about solutions in the SAP industry-specific portfolios such as SAP for Banking in Hall 18, the CeBIT focus area for Banking Technology and Financial Services.
While improving efficiency and reducing costs have traditionally been the primary reasons for implementing business software, more and more companies today see new opportunities to drive growth through integration and innovation in their IT environments. A unified and integrative IT platform lays the foundation for creating end-to-end business processes and enables the necessary flexibility for the establishment of new, and integration of existing, processes and applications.
The SAP NetWeaver technology platform empowers companies with the agility to quickly meet new challenges and seize new opportunities. SAP NetWeaver provides a services-oriented architecture, creating a flexible IT landscape that better supports business process evolution and innovation across the enterprise and helps reduce the cost and risk of business process change. The platform provides the best way to integrate SAP and non-SAP systems and serves as the basis for mySAP ERP and other mySAP Business Suite solutions as well as SAP xApps packaged composite applications.
Breaking the traditional walls
ERP remains the backbone of an organization’s entire operations. While traditional ERP systems have been limited to internal operations, the scope of ERP today is expanding outside the traditional “four walls” to include partners, vendors, suppliers and customers. mySAP ERP combines comprehensive applications for administration, management and business analysis, and forms the extended core system to support corporate decision-making. Powered by SAP NetWeaver, mySAP ERP enables new levels of business process and technology integration while laying the foundation for incremental evolution to grow with future business demands.
Another of SAP’s main focuses at CeBIT 2004 will be on SAP solutions for SMBs. SAP Business One and mySAP All-in-One deliver comprehensive ERP functionality and industry-specific capabilities and are helping SAP customers and business partners in the SMB space to master the challenges of integration and drive business growth.
Again this year, SAP will dedicate “Focus Days” throughout CeBIT to provide event visitors with concise overviews of the topics most relevant to them. On March 18, the focus will be on mySAP ERP, including human capital management (HCM) and financials, the chemicals and pharmaceuticals industries as well as consulting and service offerings for all SAP solutions. On March 19, SAP will spotlight the mySAP Business Suite family of business solutions, covering applications for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Product Life-cycle Management (PLM). March 22 and 23 are Focus Days for SAP NetWeaver – on March 22, the spotlight will be on SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP xApps composite applications as well as the consumer products and retail industry; and on March 23, SAP will showcase its solutions for business intelligence as well as the utilities industry and the public sector.
